Want to try Glympse out? Just go here for instructions.

Do you need one of these Glympse-compatible phones to view A Glympse as well? Absolutely Not! When someone sends you a Glympse, you can view it on any Internet-enabled phone or computer. While no special software is needed to receive or view a Glympse, you'll get a much more vivid real-time experience if you have Glympse installed on your mobile phone.

Send a Glympse

To send a Glympse, you'll need to install Glympse on a supported smartphone. The pictures below are examples on the T-Mobile G1™ Android.

1. Once you have installed Glympse, the Glympse icon will be listed on the phone where all other applications icons are located.
2. Run Glympse by selecting the Glympse icon.
   
3. Accept the End-User License Agreement if this is the first time you have run Glympse.
   
4. The opening screen of Glympse will appear next, followed by the Map view of Glympse. In a few seconds, your location will show up on the map.
   
   
5. Select the menu tab on the Map view, then select the Send Glympse option.
   
6. Enter a mobile phone number (the Glympse can be sent via text message) or an email address of the person or people you want to send a Glympse to in the "Send this Glympse to…" box. Hint: you may want to send a Glympse to yourself as the first test. You may also select recipients from your contact list.
   
7. The "Send a Glympse" option appears and is ready for your touch to complete the action
   
   
8. A confirmation message will appear notifying you that your Glympse has been sent
   

Do you send this Glympse often? Here's some advice on how to save time:

1. Select the Add to Faves option at the success screen (see above) or, select the History option.
   
2. Select the Glympse that you want to add to your Favorites list
   
3. Select Menu and then the "Save for Later" option
   
4. Give this Favorite a name and then select OK
   
5. You are now back to the Map view
6. Select Menu, then select "Favorites"
7. Your newly created Favorite is now on the list
   

Do you have a Twitter account? If yes, then you can send a Glympse to your followers as well. Here is how:

1. Run Glympse and select Settings. At the Settings screen, select the Twitter Settings
   
2. Enter your Twitter username and password. Then select the "Save" button. (Please be sure to read the Help information included on the screen)
   
3. Once completed, you will be back to the Map view
4. So now anytime you send a Glympse, you can optionally send it to your Twitter feed also just by adding "Twitter" as a recipient when you send your Glympse!

View a Glympse

The Web View - Real-time, Interactive, Fun.

1. You have received a Glympse via email to invite you to view a Glympse. For example,

   Your friend has sent you a Glympse.
   Click for a Glympse of my location:
   http://www.glympse.com/ABC-123
   Glympse.com - Share your where™

2. Click on the link in the email, and you will link to a map where you will see the real-time movement of your sender in the Web view
   

On a Mobile phone

If Glympse is not installed on the phone, you will be able to view the sender's location via the mobile browser.

1. Select the link that you received via a text message or email (for example: www.glympse.com/ABC-123)
2. The Mobile Web view will appear showing the real-time location of the Sender.
3. You will need to select the Refresh button to get an updated location of the sender. Note: Your standard carrier data rates will apply.
   

If Glympse is installed and running on your phone, you can use Glympse to view the sender's real-time movement!
